Looking for Inspirational Reading? — 16 Free Beth Moore eBooks

Hello, ladies!

https://i1.wp.com/www.lifeway.com/lwstore/images/products_L/0805431896_L.jpgChristian author Beth Moore has 16 books free as ebooks until January 10. The last 2 are in Spanish. Beth Moore is a talented author, and I find her books have helped me in my walk with God. She has a very refreshing and straightforward way of hitting the hard places that we, as Christians, tend to tiptoe around.

If you don’t get the rest, I highly recommend that you read Believing God. I started it as soon as I downloaded it, and it is a fantastic read. Don’t be surprised if you end up seeing posts inspired from it!

You can find the books here.

I hope you have had a wonderful beginning of the year!

God bless!
Liz

Happy New Year from the TTWM Team!

Tell the World Movement

It’s the first day of 2014! As we start a whole new year, look at it as the chance to start over.

If you’ve been struggling with your faith or feel like you’ve lost touch with God completely, today is the day to turn it all around. He hasn’t gone anywhere! Hit your knees and pray, grab your Bible and read, go to church. It’s time to get back to the true purpose of life: serving Him!

Today is the day to start diving deeper into God! Find something you can do every day to draw you closer to Him.

Here are a few suggestions:

  • Read at least one scripture a day. (Join me in this one. It’s simple and incredibly easy, especially if you have a Bible app on your phone.)
  • Start a Bible reading plan. It doesn’t have to be the whole Bible. Find one that fits your…

The End of Semester Stress

Hey ladies!

First off, I want to apologize for the lack of updates lately. Things have gotten crazy with school, and I’ll just go  ahead and admit I’ve been struggling to get everything done academically, so my focus on TTWM has diminished a bit. With that, prayers are appreciated as I start the home stretch. I’ll be home for winter break in a few weeks, so I’ll be playing catch up and getting everything back on track here!

Now to the purpose –

I’m sure that many of you, like me, are coming to the end of classes for the semester. Remember to keep your head up, stay strong, and stay focused. You got this! God’s on your side.

Psalm 66:12 #inspiration #quotes #needinggod, #god

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Phil 4:6-7 NIV

I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my desperation I prayed, and the LORD listened; he saved me from all my troubles. For the angel of the LORD is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him. Psalm 34:4-7 NIV

The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.  The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all. Psalm34:17-19 NIV

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7 NLTI wish you all the best as you close out the semester! Exams, test papers, you can do it all! Pray and read your Word. Depend on Him, and you won’t feel so stressed. I guarantee it! He makes a way.

God is my King.

At the Sister 2 Sister Ladies Retreat this past weekend, one of the speakers, Minister Trudy Finlayson, said something that actually inspired this post for the main page, but what she said really applies to us ladies:

“My God is the King of kings! That means we’re queens up in here!”

She’s right. God is the king ruling over all kings, so, as His daughters. We are queens. We are royalty. Remember that as you live.
Queens deserve respect and honor, so don’t stick around for someone who doesn’t respect you or honor your great value. You are worth more!
Keep in mind, though, queens are also held to a high esteem. They live in the light and view of others, and they are looked to as an example, so watch how you’re living! Don’t live out a life that you have to be ashamed of. Live a life that shines the light of your inheritance! You are the daughter of the Most High!

With love,
Elizabeth

  • Kings rule sovereignly over their kingdoms.

    • “Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.” 1 Chronicles 29:11-12
    • “Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose.’” Isaiah 46:9-10
  • Kings command respect and honor.

    • “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, because you created all things. It is by your will…

#NotanAct

Tell the World Movement

We are not called to act like Christ. We are called to be like Christ.

So, what’s the difference?

To Act: to conduct oneself, to perform, to pretend

When you act like someone, you are taking on their persona. You try to walk like them, to talk like them, to behave how they would behave – but you never become them. When you’re acting like someone, you are wearing a temporary mask; you are temporarily adopting a character, but, as soon as you step off the stage, you return to being you. You drop the persona; you stop acting. When you’re acting like Christ, you’re only pretending.

To Be: to equal in meaning

When you are something, that something is a part of you; it’s a defining feature. Who you are and what it is are equal – to an extent, interchangeable. When you are being…
